Scientists wishing to get involved with the next generation

By "scientist" we mean any person directing a research laboratory, research staff, person currently in graduate studies or staff working in the scientific field. However, make sure you have the authorization of the person having authority over the laboratory and/or your working time before expressing your interest in getting involved.

INVITE STUDENTS

The Inspecteur Génético team determines with you the level of involvement you want. You will be part of our panel of scientists whose lab doors are open to young people. You can participate in the filming of a video capsule showing images of you and your "cool" equipment. The idea is to present the person behind the scientist: personal journey, challenges, inspiring role model, etc. You can also simply indicate the type of research you are doing and we will send you the interested students.

OPEN YOUR LAB

A visit to your laboratory will undoubtedly be very inspiring for young people. During a simple visit, you open the doors of your lab to a small group of students. During this approximately hour-long meeting, show them the "cool" equipment and present your background. If you want to do a little more, take on a student or two for a day-long science experiment. Plan to make them perform an easy and spectacular experience, over a period of half a day to a full day depending on the age of the young people.

SUPERVISE A PROJECT

Among the young people who will visit your lab, some will want to do even more and carry out a Science Fair project. Supervising such a project requires additional involvement on your part, but it is a rewarding experience: what pride to see your young scientist present his project! Remember that our team will support you every step of the way. If you don't have time, talk to your colleagues!
